What is it?
eCOGRA is a non-profit, non-partisan and totally international organisation. eCogra specialists carefully examine online casino software. There is a list of of player-sensitive regulations which are checked by independent inspection and enforced by ongoing monitoring. The function that eCOGRA performs protects those who engage in online gaming where it is lawful. A special mark is awarded to those online casinos which successfully passed the inspection.
Check what is required to get integrated eCOGRA Seal:
* the extent to which operators and software providers adhere to these requirements; and
* the effectiveness of the procedures adopted by the Audit Panel firms to ensure compliance with these requirements.
The attached document aims to set out the most appropriate requirements to ensure that players are playing games that are fair and honest. In addition, this document is a guideline to audit panel members of eCOGRA, who wish to establish the testing requirements that will be applicable for a software provider, the operator or both.
The eCOGRA requirements are documented as Generally Accepted Practices (eGAP) and the following has been indicated for each of the eGAP areas:
1. The objectives outline the expected results of having adequately implemented the underlying requirements and practice guidelines.
2. Methodology describes the timing approach, timing and techniques adopted by the members of the audit panel, to obtain sufficient assurance that the seal holder adheres to the requirements and practice guidelines.
3. Minimum requirements (R) regarding the mandatory policies and procedures, which must be adhered.
The requirements applicable to software providers have been indicated as follows:

The following addendums have been incorporated to serve as a guideline for approved operators and software providers on the testing requirements applicable to foreign language and foreign currency sites, new and transferred casinos. In terms of eGAP, “New Casinos” refers to those casinos which have never been previously operated. “Transferred Casinos” refers to those casinos which have previously been subjected to the testing of the eGAP requirements, prior to being transferred to the new operating environment.
