15% OF ONLINE CASINO OWNERS HAVE A CRIMINAL RECORD ACCORDING TO NEW STUDY
According to a new study financed by http://www.BestOCG.com 15% of online casino owners have a criminal record. It seems as thought the bad propaganda is only getting worse for this industry. In an industry plagued by bad propaganda and a less then clean track record, this news comes as yet another hard blow.
In any regulated environment, a clean track record is necessary for anyone thinking of starting a new company. Unfortunately, normal practices and standards seem to be the exception and not the rule in the online gambling industry.
This is according to a new study financed by BestOCG.com and carried out by Professor Juan Manuel, expert in business development from the “Facultad de Ciencias Econуmicas y Empresariales” of the Universidad del Itsmo in Guatemala. After an extensive research of industry owner backgrounds, Professor Juan Manuel found that 15% of online casino owners had a criminal record. The conclusion came from a random sample of 119 online casino owners.
To many the abnormalities in the online gambling industry are obvious and blatant, and a statistic such as the one mentioned in the title is already presumable. Yet the information comes in a critical time, when US lawmakers have recently passed a controversial law making it illegal for banks to process online gambling related transitions.
Where’s the Regulation?
It is only a few countries that have so far placed regulation on online gambling activity. The UK has been considered the leader in regards to adapting their legislation to the ever-evolving technology. However, this is in sharp contrast with many countries like the US who have opted for banning this activity in favor of their local monopolies.
While politicians debate the legal future of online gaming, one thing is for sure; this activity is only growing.
