New Skin for Poker Client

Adobe AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) is a cross-platform runtime environment for interactive applications development. Viaden Media’s poker client is now in the row of most progressive applications, deployed as desktop applications. Adobe AIR made it possible to simplify the operation process under every OS. One of the main advantages of the updated client is unprecedented flexibility that is ensured by Adobe AIR environment. A habitual web browser limits the access to a user’s file system, while the installed application provides an illimitable access to it. Currently the list of Adobe AIR built applications is TOPed by such tools as Google Analytics, eBay Desktop, AOL Top 100, Pownce, and others.
Adobe AIR applications are run under Microsoft® Windows® 2000; Windows XP; Windows Vista® Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise; Mac OS X v10.4 or 10.5; and Linux®. It means that, unlike most of other online poker applications, the new Poker client will function in an equally smooth manner under every operation system with no need to install any extras, like Windows emulation software for MAC for example.
Apart from becoming a cross-platform application, the new Poker client version now possesses such features as:
· Built in update mechanism with a possibility to create release notes for users to read in the process of system update;
· Smaller size of the installation file. All extras can be added up during the game;
· Better localization support. The client language can be easily changed using the runtime language selector. Adobe AIR currently provides full support for applications built with the following languages:

Additionally we can now use Flex 3.0 components to eliminate every design drawback. Our nearest plans are to create a new lobby with all the innovative possibilities that Adobe AIR provides.
